All tasks are to be carried out in accordance with enterprise procedures, the enterprise being the organisation carrying out the work. Prepare to apply and/or repair external fabric coverings over aircraft structures.

Evidence requirements

1.1 Task is determined by reviewing maintenance documentation and enterprise procedures.

Outcome 2

Apply and/or repair fabric.

Evidence requirements

2.1 Fabric is removed and repaired or applied in accordance with enterprise procedures.

Range lacing, sewing, rejuvenating.

2.2 Dope is applied in accordance with enterprise procedures.

2.3

Any defects are rectified in accordance with enterprise procedures.

Inspections are obtained in accordance with enterprise procedures.

Outcome 3

Carry out task completion activities.

Evidence requirements

3.1 Item is prepared for use, storage, or transit in accordance with enterprise procedures.

3.2 Completion activities specific to the task and work area are carried out in accordance with enterprise procedures.

Range activities may include but are not limited to

– tool control, cleanliness, tidiness, return of publications, preparation for next activity, return of aircraft and systems to normal.

3.3 Leftover items, parts, and materials are disposed of in accordance with enterprise procedures.

Range may include but is not limited to

– serviceable, unserviceable, surplus, waste, scrap, hazardous.

3.4 Documentation is completed in accordance with enterprise procedures.
