Outcomes and evidence requirements Outcome 1 Prepare to load and unload, and arm and disarm pintle mounted aircraft guns. Evidence requirements 1.1 Task is determined by reviewing maintenance documentation and manuals in accordance with enterprise procedures. 1.2 Resources are obtained and checked for serviceability or status in accordance with enterprise procedures. Range tools, equipment, publications, signs, flags, ground support equipment and/or transporter. 1.3 Weapons are stored before loading and after unloading in accordance with enterprise procedures. 1.4 Aircraft is prepared for loading and unloading, and arming and disarming in accordance with enterprise procedures. Outcome 2 Load and unload pintle mounted aircraft guns. Evidence requirements 2.1 Gun system is inspected in accordance with enterprise procedures. Range 2.2 guns, magazines, magazine chutes, electrical connectors. Gun ammunition is loaded and unloaded in accordance with enterprise procedures. Outcome 3 Arm and disarm pintle mounted aircraft guns. Evidence requirements 3.1 System is armed and disarmed in accordance with enterprise procedures. Range 3.2 clearance obtained from pilot, safety devices fitted and removed. Jammed guns that could not be cleared by aircrew are cleared in accordance with enterprise procedures. Range misfires, misfeeds, partial ejections. Outcome 4 Complete tasks related to the loading and unloading, and arming and disarming of pintle mounted aircraft guns. Evidence requirements 4.1 Defects are reported and documented in accordance with enterprise procedures. Range 4.2 armament system, guns, support equipment. Resources are checked for serviceability and returned to service or storage in accordance with enterprise procedures.
