FACULTY HIRING PRIORITIZATION
Recommendation to President Adams from Vice President Berry &
Vice President Gravenberg
Dear President Adams:
The following Full Time Faculty requests have been prioritized by the Council of
Department Chairs and Program Directors. The list below was forwarded to the
Academic Senate, and it represents the recommendation of both Vice President Berry
and Vice President Gravenberg.
Priority #1 (tie): 2 CTE Programs
 Child Development
 Landscape Horticulture
Priority #3: African American Studies
Priority #4: English
Priority #5: Astronomy/Physics
Priority #6: Sociology
Priority #7: Math
3 additional instructional positions
Priorities #8 & 9: 2 Counseling Positions
Note: 3 additional instructional positions have been included in the event that a greater
number of faculty positions than anticipated must be added for Peralta to meet its
Faculty Obligation Number. The Council of Department Chairs and Program Directors
is prepared to complete this prioritization as needed.
