These skills are used to safely carry out the procedures associated with underwater construction, analysis, recovery and investigations in a team environment, and to report on the results of these activities clearly and concisely. 28 June 2016 ref:401276085 New Zealand Qualifications Authority 2016 NATIONAL DIPLOMA in 3 of 8 Diving (Occupational) (Level 5) The emphasis is on working safely within a dangerous underwater environment and ensuring that the safety of other team members is paramount in activity planning. Graduates of this diploma will possess a broad understanding of diving fundamentals and how they can be used in a construction and/or exploration environment to the level required for employment. The qualification will provide a base from which further industry linked qualifications can be added. The National Diploma in Diving (Occupational) (Level 5) has been developed by the Dive Industry Training Organisation, representatives from industry, providers of occupational diving and the Royal New Zealand Navy. 2 regulations for the qualification 2.1 entry information for programmes of education and training assessed against the unit standards in the qualification Open.
