The job must be of sufficient complexity to require analysis before a job procedure
can be written. The procedure must be for a job involving a number of steps.

Definitions
A job procedure involves step-by-step instructions describing how a job should be
performed.
Organisation, as referred to in this unit standard, includes organisations based in
work, community, or cultural contexts.

The candidate’s writing competence must be assessed after they have been given
the opportunity to edit and proof read their work.

The job procedure incorporates checks to be made and possible constraints.

Language, style, and terminology match the target audience's level of
comprehension.

Providers must be granted consent to assess against standards (accredited) by NZQA,
before they can report credits from assessment against unit standards or deliver courses
of study leading to that assessment.
Industry Training Organisations must be granted consent to assess against standards by
NZQA before they can register credits from assessment against unit standards.
Providers and Industry Training Organisations, which have been granted consent and
which are assessing against unit standards must engage with the moderation system that
applies to those standards.
