Classification Communication Skills > Writing Available grade Achieved Explanatory notes 1 The job must be of sufficient complexity to require analysis before a job procedure can be written. The procedure must be for a job involving a number of steps. 2 Definitions A job procedure involves step-by-step instructions describing how a job should be performed. Organisation, as referred to in this unit standard, includes organisations based in work, community, or cultural contexts. 3 The candidate’s writing competence must be assessed after they have been given the opportunity to edit and proof read their work. Outcomes and evidence requirements Outcome 1 Write a job procedure. Evidence requirements 1.1 The job is identified in terms of its key purpose and audience. 1.2 Information is complete, ordered, concise, technically accurate, and matches the identified job. 1.3 Job components are described as outcomes and presented as a series of steps consistent with the organisational requirements. 1.4 The job procedure incorporates checks to be made and possible constraints. 1.5 Language, style, and terminology match the target audience's level of comprehension.
