NZQA registered unit standard 22107 version 3 Page 1 of 3 Title Prepare for and set up CCTV, and describe procedures for CCTV survey of water reticulation assets Level 4 Purpose Credits 4 People credited with this unit standard are able to: describe the preparation of assets for survey by closed circuit television (CCTV); select and set up a CCTV and equipment for survey of assets; and describe procedures for survey of assets using a CCTV, and recording and/or coding pipe conditions. This unit standard is for people who supervise maintenance and operations in water reticulation, and people who work in specialist water reticulation activities. Water reticulation – in this context refers to all pipe systems, pumping systems, and components that contribute to the collection and disposal of wastewater and stormwater. Outcome 2 Select and set up a CCTV and equipment for survey of assets. Evidence requirements 2.1 CCTV and equipment are selected in accordance with pipe size, type, and length, depth of manhole, and flow conditions. 2.2 CCTV is positioned in pipe in accordance with pipe size, type, and length, depth of manhole, and flow conditions. 2.3 CCTV settings are adjusted in accordance with site conditions. Range recording, lighting, focus lens angle, camera head, header information, distance. Outcome 3 Describe procedures for survey of assets using a CCTV, and recording and/or coding pipe conditions. Evidence requirements 3.1 Procedures for survey of assets in a systematic manner are described. 3.2 Procedures for recording and/or coding manhole, pipe material, and construction type are described in accordance with organisational procedures. 3.3 Procedures for recording and/or coding pipe types, sizes, and depth to invert are described in accordance with organisational procedures. 3.4 Pipe conditions are identified, interpreted, recorded and/or coded in accordance with organisational procedures. 3.5 Construction features are identified, interpreted, and recorded in accordance with organisational procedures. Range 3.6 overflow, weir features, pipe joints, siphon lines. Uses and limitations of CCTV are described for specified situations.
