Evidence requirements
1.1
Situations that require legal assistance are identified and described.
Range
1.2
situations may include but are not limited to – employment,
housing, land claim, tenancy, consumer, criminal, immigration;
evidence of three different situations is required.
Legal assistance is described in terms of services provided and estimated
costs.
Range
may include but is not limited to – legal firm, court assistance,
community law centres, a specialised agency.

Describe how to access Legal Aid.
Evidence requirements
2.1
Legal Aid is described in terms of assistance provided, how it is accessed, and
availability.
Range
2.2

Potential difficulties are described for a situation requiring access to Legal Aid.

law, limits on availability of Legal Aid, non-awareness of sources
of assistance, communication barriers, cultural barriers, financial
constraints, geographical isolation;

before they can report credits from assessment against unit standards or deliver courses

Industry Training Organisations must be granted consent to assess against standards by
NZQA before they can register credits from assessment against unit standards.
Providers and Industry Training Organisations, which have been granted consent and
which are assessing against unit standards must engage with the moderation system that
applies to those standards.

CMR also includes useful information about special requirements for organisations wishing
