in New Zealand; and discuss the significance of Government
legislation to computer professionals in New Zealand.

Definition
Code of practice for the purposes of this unit standard is a document that outlines the
ethical principles of a professional organisation or group. This may also be referred
to by organisations or groups as a code of ethics, or organisational values.

professional bodies codes of ethics.

Describe professional relationships for computer professionals in New Zealand.
Evidence requirements
3.1
The description distinguishes behaviour in professional relationships for a range
of roles.
roles may include but are not limited to three of – consultant,
employee, manager, computer supplier, client, computer user,
sales consultant.
Behaviour includes both ethical and unethical behaviour for each of the three
relationships.
