Range 1.2 type of goods may include but are not limited to – unitised, loose, bulk, dangerous, liquid, heat sensitive, perishable, out of gauge’; characteristics may include but are not limited to – weight, dimensions, packaging and handling requirements; stowage may include but is not limited to – dry, temperature controlled, general, segregated. Identify the consignments according to origin, destination, and required delivery date. Outcome 2 Analyse routes and transport services to meet consignment and customer requirements. Evidence requirements 2.1 Analyse costs and limitations of alternative routes and transport services in relation to consignment and customer requirements. Range limitations may include but are not limited to – service frequency, journey time, weight restrictions; evidence of two routes is required. Outcome 3 Recommend route and transport service or combination of transport services to meet consignment and customer requirements. Evidence requirements 3.1 Recommend a route which is consistent with the characteristics of the consignment and stowage requirements. 3.2 Recommend a route which is consistent with the evaluation of route and transport service alternatives and includes costs, estimations of time, and limitations.
