The qualification is comprised of compulsory standards which recognise the knowledge and skills required for staff supervision, together with specialist skills in casino cashiering. Additional credits from related subfields and domains can be credited towards this qualification enabling people to acquire supporting and complementary skills. Special Notes Holders of this qualification will also have completed the National Certificate in Casino Cashiering (Level 3) [Ref: 0490] or have demonstrated equivalent knowledge and skills. Changes to structure and content Title was amended to include the descriptor Supervisor. A compulsory section was added to the qualification. Standards 14693-14697 were moved from Elective 1 to the compulsory section. Standards 9872, 9895 and 9911 were added to Elective 1. Lapsing domains First Line Management and Management - Developing and Coordinating People, in Elective 2, were replaced in the qualification by the People Development and Coordination domain. Minimum credit requirement for Elective 1 was reduced to 20 credits, and Elective 2 was made a balance set. For detailed information see Review Summaries on the NZQA website. People currently enrolled in programmes leading to the award of version 2 of this qualification may either complete the requirements for that version or transfer their results to version 3. All versions of this qualification will be recognised by ServiceIQ. This qualification contains a classification that is used as a substitute for earlier classifications. For the purposes of version 3 of this qualification, people who have gained credit for standards in the lapsed classifications may continue to use those credits to meet the qualification requirements of Elective 2. Changes to content and structure included: elective A was combined with the compulsory section and renamed elective 1, and elective B was renamed elective 2; expired standard 1984 in elective 1 was replaced by standards 18336 and 18337; standards 1985, 1987 and 1988 were removed from elective 1, but could have still been used to meet the requirements of elective 2; credits required in elective 1 increased from 19 to a minimum of 30 credits; credits required in elective 2 increased from 15 to 30 credits; the subfield Communication Skills was added to elective 2; overall credit total increased from 54 to 60 credits.
