A simple activity…




To learn how quickly and easily you can create a web page we will do the following activity
We will begin by looking for sites you would use with your students. To be as relevant as possible,
choose a topic that you plan to teach and focus on that
Limit the time you spend looking for relevant sites
Remember to bookmark the sites you find interesting or want to use
Netscape Communicator- things you need to know
Netscape Communicator, a complete package with several components, allows the user to browse the
internet, create web pages, e-mail and collaborate with other users. We will be using two of
Communicator’s components, Netscape Navigator to browse web pages and Netscape Composer to
create or modify pages.
To create our Hotlist we will use Navigator to do searches and find useful sites for our students and
bookmark them. We will use Composer to create, from our bookmarks, a web page of internet resources
(hotlist) for our students to use.
