OBJECTIVES:
To become familiar with a variety of modern materials used by industry today.
To become familiar with a variety of modern manufacturing processes used by
industry today. To develop skills in selective materials based on their mechanical
and physical properties. (Program Objectives to be met: 8, 9, 11, 13 & 14).

on the total percentage.

You will choose current articles related to a new material or manufacturing
process. You will then write a two paragraph paper. The first paragraph is a
summary of the article, and the second paragraph is your reaction to the article.
The paper must be typed. A brief presentation of the article critique is required.
Your reference should be placed on the top of the page in bibliographic form.
EXAMINATIONS:
Examinations will be composed of questions and problems discussed in class
and from the reading and homework assignments.
There will be NO MAKE UP exams given.
HOMEWORK:
Will be assigned from the chapters.
