Competenz has completed the reinstatement and change of expiry date of the unit
standards listed above.

Summary and main changes
In 2012 new unit standards were written to supersede these unit standards, however the
new unit standards have been deemed unfit for use. Competenz have worked with subject
matter experts from industry and developed a new set of unit standards. While they are
being quality assured, and new resources are being developed for learning and
assessment purposes, industry have chosen to continue using the unit standards noted
above. As these standards expired at the end of December 2014 they have also been
reinstated.
The qualifications that result from achieving these unit standards are also under review to
align more with on-job practices that industry has identified.
