The New Zealand Industry Training Organisation (NZITO) has completed the review of the
unit standards listed above.
Date new versions published
July 2011
Planned review date
December 2016
Summary
These unit standards have been reviewed as a result of a change in the relevant
Australian/New Zealand standards and due to a change in focus towards occupational
health management systems at this level. The content of these unit standards was
reconsidered to reflect the emphasis now placed on systems for health and safety.
The unit standards were amended and endorsed by the Industrial Health and Safety
Advisory Group, which is made up of industry and provider representatives, in May 2010.
Main changes
 Titles were changed to reflect changes to content of the standards.
 Explanatory notes were amended to bring them up to date with current practice.
 Outcomes, evidence requirements, and ranges were changed to reflect a focus on
occupational health management systems.
The last date for assessment of superseded versions of these standards is 31 December
2013. Results will not be accepted where the assessment date is after the last date for
assessment of the superseded version of the standard.
