Summary
The unit standards were revised to remove the prerequisite to hold a current pilot
certificate. The attainment of the standards has been approved by the New Zealand
Transport Agency (NZTA) as providing evidence of meeting the training requirements to
certify class 1 and class 2 pilots.
Main changes




Prerequisite: Unit 1768, must hold a current class 2 pilot’s certificate was removed.
Prerequisite: Unit 23892, must hold a current class 1 pilot’s certificate was removed.
Land Transport New Zealand was changed to New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA).
Explanatory notes updated to reflect changes in legislation and to indicate attaining the
unit standards allows the candidate to apply to NZTA for the appropriate Load Pilot
certificate.
