Award Criteria: The Non-Exempt Staff Council Appreciation Award honors a non-exempt (hourly) staff member who lives and promotes the Mission of the University: Inspired by the Catholic intellectual tradition, the University of St. Thomas educates students to be morally responsible leaders who think critically, act wisely, and work skillfully to advance the common good. This annual award recognizes an hourly staff member who consistently advances the University’s mission by doing things such as: Actively participating in the UST community Extending a helping or welcoming hand to other St. Thomas community members Volunteering beyond the job—within or outside of UST Contributing to a positive environment and culture at UST Nominees should also adhere to and honor the seven convictions of the University: 1) Pursuit of truth, 2) Academic excellence, 3) Faith and reason, 4) Dignity, 5) Diversity, 6) Personal attention, and 7) Gratitude.
