Exams
You are expected to take both the midterm and final exams.
The midterm exam will be given on Tuesday, Mar. 18th during the lecture hours.
The final exam will be given during May 13th-19th 2004.
5.
Grading Policy
Final grades will be based on the total of points earned on the homeworks, and the exams.
The tentative point breakdown is as follows:
Homeworks are 24% --- every HW assignment is 4%.
The Final Exam is 76%.
The midterm Exam will protect 50% of your final exam grade.
For calculating your final grade the following formula will be used:
Final_Grade = 0.24*Homeworks Grade +
0.76*MAX{ Final_Exam_Grade ,
0.5* Final_Exam_Grade + 0.5*Midterm_Exam_Grade }
