You'll be given a practical problem and you'll have to debate it in a court like setting. It will test your research skills, your critical skills and your analytical skills. Hassan: Mooting is pretty much a mock trial where you have to present a case in front of a judge and you either summit where the defendant is guilty or not guilty. Eliza: Kind of think of it as a debate in class, sometimes we do them in English, only this time the judge can interrupt you and ask questions. Hassan: Once we had our speeches we revised them by presenting it in sessions, we have sessions out of class. Eliza: A tip I have to students who are doing it next year, just have fun, make the most of it and don't worry too much, don't over think it. Redwan: Focus on questions, think about them before you answer them. Erol: Be very confident when speaking, pace yourself, don't speak too fast because that's what can happen when you're a little nervous. Kadir: When the judge asks you a question just try your best, don't interrupt them and just don't freak out. Hassan: So just be relaxed, be confident and don't underestimate the research you have to do. So be prepared. Eliza: Definitely give it your best because you look back at when it finishes and you're just like wow, that was a really amazing experience. End Transcript.
