ASSIGNMENTS:

Attendance/Critique:

We are paired up this semester with Sculpture 535/635. The purpose will be to create a dialogue between the two areas of Painting and Sculpture and allow the students the input of two Professors,

Professor Tedeschi and myself. There will be two combined critiques, attendance at all of the critique sessions is mandatory, and failure to attend will result in a lower grade for the course. Your grade will be based on the work you present. When not meeting for critiques, I expect MA students to be utilizing the painting or sculpture areas and for MFA students to be utilizing these areas or in their studios working.

One formal individual meeting with myself is required and must be signed-up for. Please be prepared for this meeting with images or actual work along with any support material you feel appropriate, such as ongoing research. Also, an ongoing dialogue with both Professor Tedeschi and myself is encouraged.

Critiques:

Each student will have 2 half-hour long group critiques.

Here are the rules:

-ONLY completed work may be presented, no work in progress.

-You may only show each work once per group critique.

-Present work as it is meant to be seen

Grading:

You will receive the following grades. All grades are on the university standard 100-point +/- scale.

Critique: 2 @ 200 ea
