Interdisciplinary Nanoscience Specialization
A student can complete earn a Ph.D. in physics as part of NIU’s interdisciplinary nanoscience a
specialization in nanoscience (nanophysics) within the Ph.D. program in Physics. Because of the
interdisciplinary nature of nanoscience, some requirements can be met by courses from disciplines other
than physics, including chemistry and mechanical engineering. …
