MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Candidate must have an associate degree from one of the top ten feeder community colleges. Candidate must be a student of Junior or Senior standing by Fall 2015. Candidates must be in good standing at their community college and NIU. Candidate with previous experience with and knowledge of NIU services and resources is preferred. Develop a friendly relationship with your assigned group of 1-5 incoming transfer students from your previous community college. Communicate and participate in a minimum of three outreach activities with your assigned students during the first semester as a means of helping them adjust to the new college environment. Appropriately refer new students to oncampus and community support services. Attend and participate in focus group meetings related to the Alumni Clusters peer mentoring program.
