How to establish an Internship for apparel students?
1.
At least one semester before taking an internship, the student needs to tentatively determine what experience he
or she would like to gain from an internship.
2.
A student may find his or her own placement, but must get an approval from the department supervisor before he
or she starts the intern program.
3.
The internship has to be a formal intern program established by a corporation, such as Macy’s or Nordstrom.
4.
There is an internship packet available on the Department website which includes the guidelines and paperwork.
