At least one semester before taking an internship, the student needs to tentatively determine what experience he or she would like to gain from an internship. 2. A student may find his or her own placement, but must get an approval from the department supervisor before he or she starts the intern program. 3. The internship has to be a formal intern program established by a corporation, such as Macy’s or Nordstrom. 4.
