Make CSUN Shine Brighter
Vehicular and Pedestrian Flow
Improvement Projects as of January 2014
Status Update – Active Projects Only
Plummer St. Sidewalk, Darby to Etiwanda Ave.
The existing sidewalk along the south side of Plummer is an aging asphalt walk with significant cracking and buckling. This
project will construct a new ADA compliant walkway leading into the campus core, along with lighting and landscape
improvements.
Status: Currently in design, with construction scheduled for summer 2014.
Lindley Ave Pilot Closure Project
In response to safety and pedestrian
safety concerns from the survey, in
Fall 2013 Lindley Ave. (from the F2
Parking Lot to Vincennes Avenue) was
closed to non-essential traffic
(Monday-Friday). The closure of
Lindley Avenue facilitates safer and
free flowing pedestrian street
crossings along Lindley Ave through
the center, or core, of the campus.
While this project was not specifically
named as project, the closure has
been extremely successful and
continues into the Spring Semester
2014.
