California State University, Northridge Academic Affairs Criteria for Re-chartering Centers/Institutes All charters to follow required format (see charter template) Center/Institute directors must submit at time of request for re-charter the following: 1. a copy of the center charter; 2. a list of years no annual report was filed: 3. a revenue and expenditure report for entire period of last charter; 4. if servicing clients a report detailing numbers and effectiveness for entire period of last charter; 5. grants and contracts applied for and grants secured for entire period of last charter; 6. if a research center, then a report on published researchand/or working papers and reports for entire period of last charter; 7. if a performance or production center, a report on creative work for entire period of last charter. All re-charters and attached reports should be submitted to their respective college dean who will then submit it to the provost or provost designee Provost’s council can make recommendation based upon report to (1) re-charter; (2) not re-charter; (3) re-charter for probationary period rather than fixed time.
