Research and Grants Committee
The Research and Grants Committee of the Faculty Senate is charged with making recommendations
pertaining to faculty research and creative activities and to foster an atmosphere where these activities
can flourish. The Committee is committed to the idea that research and creative activity are not only
part of the stated CSUN mission, but are a vital part of our academic environment.

Oversight of 2011-2012 CSUN Competition for Research, Scholarship and Creative Activity Awards
 Review and revision of process, guidelines, and application form
 Review and ranking of submitted proposals by committee members
 Discussion and final ranking of proposals to determine awardees
 Out of 89 proposals submitted, 48 were awarded for a total of $251,635

Continued review and approval of Draft Policy for Proposal Competitions with Limited Submissions
