6. You bought a car for $20,000. The car depreciates in value by $1500 each year.
7. A swimming pool holds 1000 gallons of water and is being drained for the winter. The water drains at a
rate of 20 gallons per minute.
8. After saving money from a job all summer, Allen has saved $600. Now that school is back in, he uses this
money to buy $20 worth of gas each week.
