Closing the Presentation of the Four Spiritual Laws

How to Know that Christ is in Your Life (page 11).
a. Gave the new believer an opportunity to respond to the questions on this page of the Four
Spiritual Laws.
b. Asked the new believer to read Revelation 3:20.
c. Listened to the person's responses to the questions to see if he/she understood the biblical
principles involved.
d. Did not proceed to the next question until the new believer could briefly explain how he/she
knows that Christ is in his/her life.

The Bible Promises Eternal Life to All Who Receive Christ.
a. Assured the new believer that he/she has eternal life because he/she has the Son, by asking the
following questions based on I John 5:11-13:

What has God given us?
Where is this life found?
Do you have the Son?
If you have the Son, what else do you have?
Emphasize the words "has" and "know."
b. Read or asked the new believer to read Hebrews 13:5 from the Bible and has asked the
following questions:

After you receive Christ, will He ever leave you?
So how many times do you need to invite Him into your life?
Do Not Depend Upon Feelings (page 12)
a. Read or asked the new believer to read this section.

Asked the new believer to describe the diagram in his/her own words.
Respond positively to the explanation, but communicate positively any necessary
corrections.
Now That You Have Received Christ (page 13)
a. Demonstrated sensitivity to the new believer by asking, "Do you have a few minutes to go
through the rest of this booklet?"

b. Read the section, "Now That You Have Received Christ" and has read or asked the new
believer to read the verses.
c. Asked the following questions based on Colossians 1:14:
- What did God do with your sins?
- How many of your sins did He forgive?
d. Asked the following question based on John 1:12:
- What does this verse say you have become?
e. Read John 5:24
- Asked, "When does eternal life begin?"
- Point out that it says "has" not "will have."
f. Read the questions at the bottom of page 13 and allowed the new believer to answer.
g. Suggested to the new believer to thank God in prayer.
(i.e. "I'll pray first and thank God for coming into my heart and forgiving my sins. Then,
would you like to do the same?")
h. Prayed a short prayer using simple sentences and gave the new believer an opportunity to do
the same.

a. Read this section without elaboration.
b. Invited the new believer to church.

Conducted "Closing the 4SL" with ease and confidence.
