1. Proposed approval process for online courses/programs [proposed by C.Baum] - [see
OnlineApproval.doc] - approved 3/23/2007 - one abstention
It was agreed that the UGCC would develop a memorandum sign off sheet for UGCC to be
signed by all departments when courses are included in online programs that have same
prefix and course number as main campus courses. C.Baum and B.Pierce to draft document
to use and forward to UGCC for approval
It was agreed that there would be no sign-off by UGCC on programs until all courses contained in
the new programs have been approved by UGCC; however UGCC would consider giving
approval to the design of the programs prior to all courses being approved so long as all
changes are brought back to the UGCC for final sign off as new courses and changes are
developed. And UGCC would not give final sign off on new degree programs until the memo
mentioned in the previous paragraph was completed and signed off by appropriate
departments.
