ALL required pre and co-requisites will be enforced on Banner. If you do not want the prerequisite(s) enforced, list as “recommended”. There are no “recommended” co-requisites. Only list the immediate prerequisite(s) to be checked. If MATH 2800 has a prerequisite of MATH 1710, list MATH 1710 as the prerequisite. Do not list MATH 1415 + MATH 1315 + MATH 1310 + MATH 0940 + MATH 0930 which are all courses that lead up to MATH 1710. ____ Expand course alternatives when appropriate. (i.g., CSE 101 or higher, or Humanities/Social Science elective rather than specific courses) _____ Review Certificate and Degree programs to ensure that they meet Certificate and Degree Requirements. _____ Complete a Program Description Form for all program description pages. (included in CCC process) ____ List New Programs as ‘PENDING CNM GOVERNING BOARD APPROVAL and/or NM HIGHER EDUCTION DEPARTMENT APPROVAL’ if applicable. ____ Remove all “Optional” courses from the program description page. Optional courses do not directly relate to graduation requirements. Make “optional” courses electives where possible and it makes sense. Optional courses will be listed in course description section. ____ Complete Term-by-Term and Prerequisite Form with instructions, provided (included in CCC process). ____ Review and revise Course Descriptions if needed. Use the Course Description Form, with instructions, for any and all changes to course descriptions (see attached) (included in CCC process). _____ Refer to new definitions for Cooperative Education, Internships, Practicums, Clinicals and Externship when creating new courses or changing old courses to fit within the new definitions (new definitions on web site). ____ Eliminate “year” specific information in course descriptions where possible, e.g. Office 2003. When applicable, course descriptions should include the following statement “Please refer to the cnm.edu web site for the latest versions on software and releases”. Catalog Checklist ____ Retain $ symbol in course description for course fees. Remove dollar amounts as they may change year to year. MCO will include the following statement “Additional fees published in the Schedule of Classes”. ____ Include * symbol when using CHSS & MSE discipline categories.
