Transfer from another campus My name’s James, I’m studying a Bachelor of Business and I’m in my final year. I started an apprenticeship straight after my Year 12 exams and I realised it wasn’t for me and a friend took me along to the Shepparton Campus open day and I decided to try business. I started my degree at the Shepparton Campus and the thing I valued most about it was you can get such a fantastic education so close to home. I enjoyed the camaraderie and the ability to build up such a close-knit community in a smaller campus. At the start of my third year I decided to transfer to the Bendigo Campus and it was to give myself experiences in a bigger campus while still remaining regional. The thing I love most about my course is the great variety in theory and also being able to put that into practice when doing practical assignments. I also had the opportunity to undertake a work practicum where you go into a workplace and you’re able to apply that theory into real-life experiences. When I finish my course ideally I’d like to work in marketing however any area in business interests me. 1
