Student/Volunteer Tutor Agreement
As an adult learner, I agree to:

Meet with my volunteer tutor at least two hours a week.

Set reasonable goals with my tutor and allow my tutor to map out an instructional plan.

Practice what I have learned.

Call my tutor and the literacy program at 224-4000 ext. 53085 in advance if I am going to miss a
tutoring session or if I am going to be late.

Meet at CNM Campus Location – never in my home or in the home of my tutor. Do not ask your tutor
for a ride.

Keep my tutor and the literacy program informed if I change my phone number, address or if I need to
change my tutoring times and days.
As your Volunteer Tutor, I agree to:

Meet with my learner at least two hours a week.

Prepare for each session.

Assist learner in setting and meeting goals.

Always keep in mind my learner’s goals

Keep the volunteer tutor program informed on my learner’s progress and concerns.
Literacy Volunteers Tutor Program agrees to:

Provide you with a volunteer tutor that will work with you.

Re-match you if your tutor is not working out.

Be available to discuss progress, concerns, and answer questions.
