General Guidelines: The first row of the spreadsheet contains column headers. These headers should not be deleted or changed. Information pertaining to each column header should be entered below the respective column header. Do not create column headers to enter additional information. The Group Upload feature has been designed to only accept the fields originally contained within the spreadsheet (First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, Phone Number, Email Address, Passport Number, Passport Card Number) Do not change the formatting of any of the cells within the spreadsheet (e.g. formatting the cell type from General to Date, adding borders, highlighting, etc.). Avoid copying and pasting traveler data from another spreadsheet. This may result in copying and pasting formatting from the spreadsheet into the STEP template. A value needs to be entered into all spreadsheet cells for a traveler except for the Passport Number and Passport Card Number fields. A Passport Number OR Passport Card Number must be entered for each traveler; both are not required. Individual Spreadsheet Column Guidelines: The only required fields are First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, and one form of contact (either Phone Type and Phone Number or Email Type and Email Address). Please note that you may enter additional information, but that the above fields are all that is required. Uploading Additional Travelers Individually: 1. First, complete uploading all other travelers using the group upload feature. 2. You may check the ‘Exclude’ box next to one of the travelers if you do not wish to submit them. Otherwise, click the Submit button to successfully submit all your travelers. You will see a ‘Submission Successful’ message if your travelers have successfully submitted. 3. Click the Next button on the bottom of the page. You will see all of your successfully submitted travelers. 4. If there is an additional traveler that was not included in the spreadsheet, please click the Add Traveler button. NOTE: The only required fields in this section are the First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, and either a phone number, email address, or street address; all other fields are optional. NOTE: For passport numbers that are not in the US passport number format, please leave the passport number blank and enter passport information in the Comments field. Additionally, citizenship can be indicated using the Citizenship dropdown menu. 5. Click OK to Save the Additional Traveler. If there are no additional travelers, this step can be skipped by clicking the Next button at the bottom of the screen. 6. Continue to add more travelers if needed by clicking the Add Additional Traveler button and repeating the above steps until all travelers have been accounted for. Finalize Changes: When all travelers have been uploaded using the group template and/or clicking the Add Additional Traveler button, click the Next button and continue on through the wizard. Complete the wizard until you reach the final Confirmation page and click the Finish button to finalize all changes for the trip.
