Presidential Scholarship for Study Abroad in a Non-Anglophone Country Application Guidelines: There are 5 Presidential Scholarships of $2000 each. Scholarships will be awarded to qualified MOLA majors first, since study abroad is a requirement. Scholarships will be awarded to students from other majors if funds remain. Awards are for long-term study abroad programs in non-Anglophone countries. To be eligible, students must have a minimum of a 2.5 grade point average and academic achievement will be a factor in the selection process. Fully complete application and attach typed essay addressing the prompt at the bottom (minimum of 500 words) in English. Presidential Scholarships may not be combined with other scholarships offered by International Affairs. Applications must be submitted to The Office of International Affairs by 5:00 on April 1 (or following Monday if this falls on a weekend) for study abroad in fall or spring of the following academic year. Late applications will not be accepted. Students accepting study-abroad scholarships are expected to support events sponsored by International Affairs upon their return to Longwood. Students who accept scholarship awards and who do not complete a study abroad program are required to return the award in full.
