HAFLER LAB: Departments of Neurology and Immunobiology at Yale University, New Haven, CT

PhD Candidate Jan 2011-present

I am currently studying the role of podoplanin signaling in human T cells and ectopic lymphoid follicle formation in multiple sclerosis patients using techniques such as flow cytometry, FACS, immunohistochemistry, T cell culture, T cell cloning, and lentiviral transduction.

I researched a potential therapeutic intervention for Alzheimer’s disease and completed a senior honors thesis entitled

“Neuroprotective effects of L-NBP in Alzheimer’s disease models” examining the anti-apoptotic effects of the chemical compound L-NBP in both a mouse and a cell model.
