I have a lot of goals set for college not just in English. I hope to succeed in all my
classes. Another goal is to carry at least a 3.5 into next year so I can get my scholarship
again. My goals have not changed that much from high school. I worked very hard in
high school to achieve the grades I got. So I know that I have the ability and can get
good grades in whatever class I am taking. I knew that my family did not have much
money so if I was going to college I needed to get some academic scholarships to help
pay the way.
One goal for me is to extend my writing abilities by far. I don’t enjoy writing a
whole lot because it is not one of my strong points. If I knew how to write a little better I
may enjoy it a little more. I hope to come out of this class with some understanding of
writing also. My goal for a grade would be to get an A. Another goal is to finish all of
my work. Maybe at the end of this class when I learn how to write better I will like
writing more. I think the writing will be a lot better with these computers so we don’t
have to write so much.
I am coming into college with an open mind. I hope to meet some people and
gain some new friends. I have not met that many people as of right now but it will get
better as time goes on. A lot of people who graduated with me are going here so I can
always talk to them. I hope to have a good year here and succeed in all I do.
