• As a writer I am creative.
• I learned many things in Composition 1
including using power point, writing good
thesis statements, having good transitional
sentences, and how to write different styles
of papers.

• I have learned how to write a good thesis
statement.
• I know how to cite sources correctly in my
writing.
• I have learned how to use transitional sentences.
• I have learned how write good paragraph structure
in a comparative essay .
• I have learned to write good conclusions.
• I have learned how to critique myself and
change to improve.

• A good thesis statement grabs the readers
attention.
• Lets the reader know what the paper is
about early.
• Lets the reader know how the writer stands
on the subject written about.

• Citing sources is required when using

transitional sentences
• Transitional sentences help make a
transition from one thought to another.
• Makes a paper flow together better.
Paragraph structure
• Good paragraph structure keep the reading
interesting.
• Learned to write without using fluff to make
a paper longer.
• In a comparative essay the subjects have to
follow the same order throughout the paper
Writing conclusive paragraphs
• Make the conclusion sum up the paper
• Allows the writer to put in last thought
• Learned to write conclusive paragraphs that
don’t leave the reader hanging

• I learned how to critique my own work and
improve on it.

before handing it in

Conclusion
• I learned many things in comp 1
• My goals for comp 2 are improve on the
things I learned in comp 1,learn how to
assess myself better, and to strengthen my
transitional sentences.
