Attendance & Tardiness Policy
The Business Information Technology Program attendance policy allows a maximum of nine
absences (15%) prior to mandatory withdrawal from the course
Tardiness and leaving class early is disruptive to the class. Both things distract other students
and the instructor and interrupt the learning process. The student who does not attend the
full class session does not receive full benefit of the class that day. Multiple students coming
in tardy or leaving early negatively impedes the progress of the entire class. Consequently,
anyone who is tardy and/or leaves class early more than 10% of the course which is a total of
six times during the quarter will be required to withdraw from the course. Absences are not
included in this count since they affect only the individual.
