FACILITIES SERVICES DEPARTMENT MEETING FS ANCHOR AWARD Presented by: Anchor Award Committee As a department we see the hard work that happens day-in and day-out around VCSU. We all have jobs that need to get done and we all work hard to ensure they are getting done as effectively and efficiently as possible. As Vikings, we all row. However, there are Vikings who seem to be the "anchor" of our team. They keep us strong in our mission, keep us focused on the goal and keep us grounded in our standards. They help hold the team together when it seems we are all over the place! Work done behind-the-scenes often goes unnoticed by the rest of campus. Hence the idea for the Facilities Anchor Award. The Facilities Anchor Award provides an opportunity for Facilities Services employees to recognize one another by nominating them to receive an award and recognition in our department newsletter. The nomination and award recognize ongoing and continued actions or behaviors furthering the vision and mission of the University in regards to work that is done in the Facilities Services Department. In order to qualify for this award, the nominee must be a Facilities Services staff member at VCSU. Each month a committee will review nominations and award a winner. The winner will automatically be on the following month's selection committee. There are no restrictions of number of times you can win- we want to recognize all hard work that is being done. The nominations will be independently scored by a representative of maintenance, building services and the Power House crews. Note, if there are 2 or less nominations the previous month’s nominations will also be considered for the award. If there are 2 or less nominations for 3 consecutive months the award will cease.
