Reflection on Nobel Laureates Distinguished Lectures From 6A 2004-2005 PHOTO GALLERY Content Page Mimi Chu After listening to the talk, I learned more about economics. The speakers used an interesting way to present the idea. If next time there has the similar function, I would also like to participate. Connie Tang I believe the talk is useful. It talks about the success of the Nobel Prize winner. Participants do enjoy themselves in the talk. They have raised challenging questions to both speakers. The most interesting thing is that the Nobel Prize winner of Economics thinks that he prefer Mathematics rather than Economics. Will he be more successful if he studies Mathematics….. Jannie Chung In Hong Kong this knowledge-based economy, it is encouraging to have opportunities to meet the Nobel Laureates in order to learn from their precious experience. After listening to the conversation of the two Nobel Laureates, I realize that to become Nobel Laureates or to have outstanding achievements in Economics are never easy things. And I really appreciate their distinctive sharing, knowledge as well as stories of success on Economics Sciences as they have contributed much effort throughout their lives. Flora Pau I think that it was my first time to connect with two Nobel Prize winners so near. I am very proud of myself to listen the sharing of successful lecturers. I was interested in the reasons why they don’t choose economics as their major subject in the university but they can still get such successes. They must have work very hard. Besides, they have sparkling achievements in the economy. Although I could not understand all those economic terms, this seminar was quite interesting. The most impressive time was the question and answer session. It is funny to notice that some students asked about how should they study economics if they didn’t have interest in it. Wendy Lee After attending the seminar, I have learnt a lot. Although I did not fully understand the content of the seminar, the Question-Answer sections impressed me; the speakers are very professional and give very appropriate answers. Celia Lam It was a wonderful experience to have a chance to meet such great men in one's life. Though they did not talk much about academic Economics, it's worthwhile to listen to their sharing. They are humorous. Eva Chan: This is my first time to attend such a great seminar. I really enjoy the questions and answers section in the seminar as the questions raised are interesting and challenging. Frankly speaking, this seminar is a little bit difficult for form six students to understand, however, I think this is a valuable experience for me and it can motivate my interest towards Economics.
