Review rhetorical analysis requirements
Students will write a rhetorical analysis of a John Updike essay (40 minutes)
Extra time may be used to read DO NOW passage or The Great Gatsby
Assessment Methods: Completed essay
Checks for Understanding: Completed essay
Materials: paper, pen, essay prompt

1/14-15: 1920s Life group presentations (double minor)
1/20: Gatsby chapters 1-3 due with questions
1/21-22: Timed synthesis essay (major)

and purpose.
