Objective: SWBAT review for test over transformations of parent functions.
Activities: Students will work on study guide in groups. Whole class discussion parent
functions and describing transformations. Discuss domain and range, line of symmetry,
function or not a function, and evaluating functions.
Teacher circulates as needed.

Objective: SWBAT transformations of cubic functions and square root functions.
Warm Up: Integers
Go over test: Pass out graded test and go over.
Activities: Demonstrate how to graph and transform square root and cubic functions graphs.
Show video – Khan Academy demonstrating transformations.
Independent Practice: Student practice graphing the parent function of a square root and cubic
function and its transformations. Students will determine domain and range, axis of
symmetry, parent function, and describe its transformations.
Assessment: exit ticket
Materials: notes spiral, textbook, calculator.
