Systems Portfolio (SP) Teams Charges and Guidelines Purpose The Systems Portfolio documents the College’s systems and processes as they relate to the nine AQIP Categories. The College will submit the Portfolio to AQIP for the Systems Appraisal formative evaluation process. The Portfolio should present an honest picture of the College demonstrating strengths as well as opportunities for improvement. Charge To assist in creating NC State’s Systems Portolio by writing responses to selected questions in assigned AQIP Categories. To work collaboratively and cooperatively through the leadership of the AQIP Steering Committee via the Coordination Team (Brooke Henwood, Kate Perese, Jim Hull). To appoint a team leader and a team writer. Guidelines Each SP Team will write in-depth responses to approximately 1/3 of the total number of processes (P), results (R), and improvement (I) questions for their assigned AQIP Categories. The questions will have been selected by the AQIP Steering Committee with input from MAC, the Caucuses, and President’s Staff. Each SP Team will write in-depth responses to all of the context (C) questions for their assigned AQIP Categories. SP Teams will follow the writing style, format, language, software, templates, document length, etc. guidelines and resources provided by the Resources Team, Leader Peg Moir in Training II. The primary purpose of feedback to the SP Teams is to minimize duplication of effort. The Systems Portfolio is based on AQIP’s “Principles and Categories for Improving Academic Quality” available at http://ncstatecollege.edu/aqip/Princ_Categ.pdf SP Teams are encouraged to recruit addtitional members or consult with others to enhance their knowledge base for responding to questions.
