Faculty Sample Copy Western Kentucky University Assistant Professor Department of Higher Education Western Kentucky University (WKU) seeks an individual to serve as an Assistant Professor. The position is a nine-month, tenure track appointment beginning fall 2011. The university is located in Bowling Green, KY and is a research institution with over 20,000 students. WKU is conveniently located approximately 50 miles from the metro Nashville, TN area. Responsibilities The position requires a focus on diverse populations served in community colleges and four-year institutions of higher learning. It includes an emphasis on students with diverse backgrounds, nontraditional students and students with physical and cognitive disabilities. The position requires the ability to teach, conduct research, serve on Doctoral committees, develop grants, work with faculty in the WKU doctoral program, and work with faculty to operate and evaluate the program in Higher Education. Minimum Qualifications Requirements for this position include an earned doctorate from a regionally accredited university in Higher Education or a related filed.
