This housing license and liability release form is entered into by Calvin College, hereinafter referred to as the “College”, and the undersigned Seminar Participant,
hereinafter referred to as "you."
Term of License
The housing license begins on your arrival on our campus on

Housing

Housing Release Form
Seminars @ Calvin agrees to reserve space for you in the College's apartments after you have signed and sent in this release form.
2.
Care of Housing
You are responsible for the condition of your apartment and all furnishings that are assigned to you and you shall reimburse the College for all damages to the
apartment and furnishings, other than ordinary wear and tear. This includes damages to hallways, lounges, bathrooms, and other common areas. If common
areas are damaged and the individual responsible is unknown, the cost of repair or replacement may be divided among the residents in the building. You are
also responsible for the cleanliness of your assigned apartment and you shall reimburse the College for any cleaning costs above normal cleaning costs.
3.
Keys
You may not duplicate College keys. You must return all keys to the College at the end of your occupancy. You must report lost keys to the housing office as
soon as you discover that keys have been lost. If you lose your key, you will be charged $25 for the cost of changing lock cylinders and keys for that building.
4.
Right of Entry
The College reserves the right to enter your apartment after notice for the purpose of inspection, verification of occupancy, safety, health, maintenance, or in the
event there is evidence of violations of College rules and regulations. The College reserves the right to enter apartments without notice as allowed by law.
5.
Limitation of Liability
The College reserves the right to cancel the housing license at any time for any reason. The College does not assume any legal obligation to pay for injury to
person (including death) or loss or damage to items of personal property which occurs in its buildings or on its grounds prior to, during, or subsequent to the
period of this license. You are encouraged to obtain appropriate insurance to cover such losses.
Release
In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Seminars @ Calvin program, and in consideration of the College providing housing to you and your
family, you agree, on behalf of yourself and each member of your family, successors and assigns to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Calvin College, its
directors, officers, employees, students, representatives, agents, successors and assigns ("Released Parties") from all liability and claims of any kind, including
claims for loss, expense, damages, or attorney fees, which may arise on account of death or personal injury to you or your family members arising out of any
activity incident to or arising out of participation in this seminar, or the provision of housing to you and your family, including but not limited to damages arising
as a result of any transportation provided by the College as a part of this seminar or related social activities. This applies even if injury or death is caused by the
negligence, gross negligence or recklessness of Released Parties.
Rules and Regulations
You agree to abide by all applicable rules, regulations and instructions of the College, the host organization, and each and all of their staff, agents,
representatives or designees. You further agree to abide by the laws of the government jurisdictions at the place or places of the program or project.
Noncompliance with applicable rules, regulations, instructions or laws may result in expulsion from the program and/or forfeiture of program fees.
