SIS Faculty Survey Results
Analysis
The SIS Faculty Survey was sent to all 2,684 faculty who were active instructors (teaching a course) at the time of the survey. This number included Darden and
Law instructors who do not use SIS, so responses from faculty in those schools were excluded from the results. 548 faculty completed the survey, for a response
rate of 20%. Of the surveys completed, 220 faculty members provided detailed comments, and of these, 50 asked to be contacted.

Overall, comments and ratings are below 3 on a 5-point scale; this is across the board, even with system availability, which was 24x7, with over 99%
system availability.
Class search and photos of major concern; both are being addressed
Very unhappy with user interface: small font, many clicks, frames with internal scroll bars; not user friendly. SIS team exploring options to address
internal scroll bars. Other interface elements the result of package solution: many set up options, but minimize customizations.
Faculty want a hybrid of ad hoc Permission and wait list. SIS team putting together group to explore issues and solutions.
