 Experience in the use of a PCR machine and other related techniques like DNA

extraction trained from Makerere University, Molecular Biology Laboratory.
Trained in the detection, identification and quantification of parasite DNA in snails
using a Real-Time PCR as well as Post-PCR detection of parasite DNA using the

oligochromatographic method. The training took place at the Wolfson Wellcome
Biomedical Laboratories, Department of Zoology, Natural History Museum of London.
Karyotyping - using chromosome counts to characterise snails - trained at the Danish
Bilharziasis Laboratory - Denmark.
