Homework Policy Purpose is fourfold: 1. Extend concepts learned in the classroom. 2. Provide opportunities for independent work. 3. Strengthen concept and skill development. 4. Provide enrichment opportunities. Homework Policy Should take no more than 60 to 75 minutes a night total. Is due on the assigned day unless illness or excused absence. Additional time will be given. Field Trip Schedule Williamsburg Friday, November 6, 2015 Strathmore-Baltimore Symphony End of October Astronomy Planetarium In house, third quarter Williamsburg - Trip will be November 6, 2015 - Money for lunch will be due the beginning of October ($8.50-$13.50) *Lunch money must be paid in cash or check Cost of Trip will be due by the end of October (price is $57 per student) *Can be paid online this year! (3% credit card fee) Volunteers will be charged $30 for their ticket and WILL have to drive separately *Volunteers will be asked to pay separate from their students We will stop at McDonald’s on our way home for dinner. Students will take PARCC in May Writing Informative/Explanatory Narrative Opinion Process, Production, and Research Use of Language Specials Art, Music, Physical Education, Media, Instrumental Music, Chorus Art, Music, PE, and Media are once a week Chorus is on Friday mornings Instrumental Music is taught once a week for 30-40 minutes (Thursday and Friday AM) Students will have band buddies to ensure they get materials presented in class while they were gone.
