To verify your eligibility to be legally employed in the United States by completing a Form I-9.
Section 1 of the I-9 must be completed on or before your first day of work. This can be done by
logging in to http://www.newi9.com/ . RIT’s employer code is 15083.
Section 2 of the I-9 must be completed no later than your third day of work at RIT. You must
present valid identification documents to a representative of the Human Resource Department
in Eastman Hall.
Once you have completed the I-9, you will be able to obtain your RIT Identification Card and
register your vehicle with the Parking Office.
Your employment will be governed by the terms and conditions of RIT’s policies and procedures
as set forth in the Institute Policies and Procedures Manual. The manual is available on the HR
website at http://www.rit.edu/fa/humanresources/ . Please note that RIT’s policies and
procedures and its employee benefits will change over time; any such changes automatically
will apply to you and your employment relationship at RIT. Please note in particular that
individuals hired with specified limited terms of employment, such as employees hired on grants
and contracts, are not eligible or covered by the Severance Plan.
