Sussex Plus Employability Award
Key issues for international students
Adjustment to British jobs market and competency based recruitment used by UK
and global employers.
Careers and Employability Centre is not a placement service: we help and support
students in their job search but we do not place students in a job directly.
Earning money and part-time work: promoted c.5K vacancies in 2013/2014 including
Graduate Jobs (2556), Placements (1326) part-time (361) and vacation internships
(571)
Sussex economy is made of a few large employers but around 90% are small and
medium-sized employers in the digital media, leisure, hotel and catering, financial
services
and retail sectors.
