I'm Anh and I'm running for SGA president of 2015-2016. Sligo, you should vote for me because I do have what it takes to become your SGA president. I do have some experience because I was SGA vice president last year ! Do you remember last year's winter dance ? Everyone had such a splendid time. The dance was very well organized and everyone had a fun time ! I can make your winter dance epic this year. The SGA will also figure out a way to get the photo booth for the winter dance. Not only that, but I can organize competitions related to sports in the gym such as volleyball, soccer, baseball, and more. Last year, there was a showdown between Sligo and other schools! Yes, tonight at 6:30 pm in the media center, Sligo Middle School will host the first Visual Arts’ Night of this school year. We will be showing the academy award winning classic, "The Good Earth." This movie is based on the 1931 award winning novel by Nobel Prize winner Pearl Buck. It is a very interesting story of a farmer, and his wives, trying to survive in turn of the century China. All students attending will receive a free slice of pizza. We welcome your entire family to attend. WSLI will be on the air tomorrow morning. Be sure to tune in. As promised yesterday by Mr. Scott, here are the results for last week’s challenge: Drum roll please — the winning BEST classes for last week’s challenge are: 6th grade: Mr Schultz’s BEST Class with 6 out of 14 students registered — over half — way to go 7th Grade: Mr. Brewer’s BEST Class with 7 out of 18 Students registered — almost half 8th Grade: No clear winner this week — what can we say — the 8th graders need to step up their game this week —and Register for RAZOO! Congratulations to everyone! Each of these BEST classes get to pick the music during the exchange of classes for one day and each student will get 3 BEST bucks!
